As I was waiting for the ferry to arrive in Kingston, WA, I pulled out my point-and-shoot digital camera and captured this photo of the ferry during sunset and a full moon. This photo won a contest and was printed in a calendar by a local company.

Praying to the Sun
As I was watching the sunrise coming up behind the Himalayan mountains, I heard murmuring behind me. I turned and saw a group of Hindus praying to the sun. This photo was selected as one of the National Geographic Daily Dozen.
