Ducal Palace at Vila Viçosa
We got a private tour of the Ducal Palace at Vila Viçosa. The palace is now a museum after the last King of Portugal willed it as such. You can read more about it here.
We weren’t allowed to take photos inside, but I sneaked a couple. Outdoors was fair game.
Interesting tidbit…there are 400 pieces of copper cookware in the kitchen. When they clean them, it takes 4 people 5 months to clean everything, using only lemon juice and salt (to keep the copper from turning green).
