Fort of Graça
While in Elvas, we stopped at the Fort of Graça, a star-shaped military outpost. A place like this was right up my alley when it comes to photographing old architecture! Add in stormy skies and I was having loads of fun.
Near closing time, the storm finally hit, pelting us with small hail and a lightning strike just yards from our vehicle (the boom made me jump out of my seat). As we drove closer to our hotel, frantically wiping the windshield (the defogger wasn’t working properly), the hail got bigger and it sounded like the roof of the van was under attack!
