Hot Air Balloons
Unlike the first time I went to Winthrop for the hot air balloon round-up, there was lots of snow on the ground (and not just in the mountains). I was prepared this time, however, and had brought insulated boots, earmuffs, a scarf, gloves, and hand warmers.
I got up at 5:30am, after spending the night at the Winthrop Inn, which is right in front of the balloon launch…quite convenient.
