Lake Chelan Tour 2024
This was my third time riding the Lake Chelan Tour, but the first time doing it in the fall instead of the spring. I have to say that I much preferred the fall, in spite of the early morning chill, because the weather was more pleasant to ride in and the orchards were filled with fruit.
I stayed at the Apple Inn in Chelan with a friend (who split the cost). It was only about a mile to the start each day, making it a convenient location. It was an older motel, but the bathrooms were upgraded with really cool sinks and great showers.
This year, on the second day, I even rode partway up McNeil Canyon, something I didn’t feel strong enough to attempt in the past.
The entire weekend was so delightful. I was even able to get a whole crate of cosmic crips apples for only $10 at one of the fruit stands!
