Riding on Day 3
I got up early since we went to bed at 9pm last night. It’s currently 6:30am and I’m annoyed that I can’t get coffee anywhere until 7am and that’s if I go down the street to a café. The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast until 7:30am. So, I sit outside on the patio and watch a cruise ship come into the bay. When breakfast is finally served it is horrid! William is irked because he can’t get milk for his tea. In fact, there’s not even milk for the cereal. The closest thing is a yogurt drink. The coffee is instant and tastes nasty…I can’t drink it.
After breakfast, we get on our bikes a ride back towards Dubrovnik by way of a short ferry ride across the Kotor bay.
Our lunch stop was at the Agritourism Zlatovisce Winery and was fantastic! The proprietress first gave us five different liquor samples that they make. We bought two of them to take to Marcus and Haylee. With our lunch of a salad from their garden, home-made bread, and an assortment of meats and cheeses, we were also served two different generous portions of wine. We were feeling pretty good when we got back on our bikes.
The hotel is fancier in Cavat and we had a really good dinner buffet. After dinner we walked along the resort property and listened to a group having a party and singing.
The next morning, the breakfast buffet was so-so. The bottom of the eggs were almost burnt, but the tops were almost raw and snotty. The coffee was also lousy.
There was a gift shop where we bought some snacks and I got some lotion for my very dry legs. I really hate hard water!
